In 1873, Orville and Martha wanted to start a new life in the West. They joined a wagon train in St. Joseph, Missouri, but the trail boss appropriated Martha as his sex slave since they couldnt pay the full fare. On the trail, Martha ran afoul of the rules and was given a whipping. On the last leg of their trek, the couple were captured by Pawnee Indians to suffer fiendish abuse and torture.
